Reference data for general fused quartz; contact us for grade-specific certificates.

JGS1 Deep UV

Synthetic fused silica with excellent transmission from about 185 nm to 2500 nm. Ideal for UV lithography optics, excimer laser windows and spectroscopy cuvettes.

JGS2 UV – Visible

Fused quartz transmitting roughly 220–2500 nm. A cost-effective choice for sight glasses, UV lamp covers and general optical windows.

JGS3 Infrared

Low-hydroxyl fused quartz transmitting up to about 3500 nm, suited to IR heaters, IR optics and high-temperature viewports.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask Most

Can Zunex produce quartz parts according to my drawing?

Yes. Custom processing to customer drawings is our core service. Send a PDF, DWG or STEP drawing with material grade, tolerances, surface finish and quantity, and our engineers will review manufacturability before quoting.

What is the difference between JGS1, JGS2 and JGS3 quartz?

JGS1 is synthetic fused silica with high transmission in the deep UV (about 185–2500 nm), JGS2 is fused quartz suited to UV-visible use (about 220–2500 nm) and JGS3 is infrared-grade fused quartz with low hydroxyl content for transmission up to about 3500 nm.

What temperature can fused quartz glass withstand?

Typical fused quartz can be used continuously at around 1100 °C and for short periods up to about 1300 °C, with a softening point near 1683 °C. Its very low thermal expansion gives excellent thermal shock resistance.

Which finishing processes do you offer?

We offer cutting, grinding, polishing, flame working and quartz laser finishing including precision drilling, grooving and cutting for plates, tubes and discs.

How fast do you respond to technical inquiries?

Our verified response rate is 100% with an average response time of two hours or less. Email [email protected] with your drawing or specifications.

Have a Drawing or Spec Sheet?

Tell us the grade, dimensions and quantity. An engineer will review it and reply within about two hours.
